Companies are always a Benefit for Charities

Having the backing of our local companies, who can help us, for example, through employee giving, or by sponsoring an event or a nurse, is very beneficial for us.

We are not as fortunate as some hospices that have many large companies with substantial charity budgets in their catchment area, but what we do have is top quality companies for whom social responsibility is high on their agendas. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) proves not only to the workforce, but also to the public in general (who may just be your customers), that there is a human side to your company in its readiness to support both local and national charities.

As a business in our area have you ever considered helping your Hospice?

Why not consider:
Starting up a payroll giving scheme - and this is the best time to do it because by starting the scheme now you will be eligible for a grant of up to £500.
Matched Giving - where your company matches what employees have pledged.
Sponsorship - your company could take advantage of the events that we organise by being a sponsor – or even the main sponsor - and benefit from the advertising and goodwill that is created around our events. Details of current opportunities can be found on the events page. Or you could sponsor a nurse for a day, a week, a month or even a year. Can you imagine the feel-good factor that would have on your employees?
Recycling your used printer and fax cartridges or old mobile phones. We have a source that will take them and donate a considerable sum to us.
Holding an Event for us. Anything will do as long as you have fun organising it!
Inviting us to come and speak to your workforce.
Undertaking cause-related marketing promotions to benefit the community. This is then a two-way activity which benefits not only the charity, but also the company itself.

Your company’s support would mean so much to us, and, whichever way you chose to support us, it would be entirely for the benefit of our patients and their families . . . . .    who might just be members of your staff
