Strathcarron Hospital Specialist Service

Within the acute hospital setting, one of our Consultants is involved in supporting a team of specialist nurses in meeting the palliative care needs of hospital patients.

As well as advising the specialist palliative care team in managing difficult symptoms, the Consultant is also involved with reviewing a number of patients, and working with other specialty teams to enable them to integrate a palliative approach into all areas of care.

Strathcarron Hospice is also very involved with the medical education programme in the Acute Hospital.
