Strathcarron Hospice - Forthcoming Events
The Ladies' Midnight Tiara Walk 2010 took place on 8th May. Thanks to all who participated.TV celebrity Lorraine Kelly took part in our second Ladies' Midnight Walk. The walk, which was only for ladies, followed a figure of 8 track which allowed walkers to choose either a 5 mile or 10 mile distance. The response was tremendous with over 2700 women braving the chill to take part in aid of Strathcarron. An estimated £300,000 was raised by the event.
Events are a great way to get involved with Strathcarron fundraising and have fun. There are a number of scheduled events each year planned by the Hospice as well as events organised by our friends and supporters. These range from sporting challenges to celebrity lunches, a summer fete and glamourous charity balls. These events raise much needed funds and help to maintain a high profile for Strathcarron in the local papers.
In the past supporters of Strathcarron have organised their own events and adventures for example: Climbing up Kilimanjaro, walking the West Highland Way, sponsored dog walks, golfing events, cycle runs, parachute jumps, fishing competitions, pub events, open garden days, fashion shows, school events, and so on. If you want to organise an event and need advice then contact our fundraising department.

Some events have an entry fee and may require you to gain sponsorship, others are free to attend, like our Summer Fete where you can contribute by coming along, buying goods, raffle tickets and taking part in fun activities.
