Education and Training
Our Education Department team consists of four lecturers, who have wide experience in the field of Palliative Care. A number of clinical staff also participate in much of the teaching programme. The team is supported by a department administrator as well as volunteers. The education team encourages an experiential style of learning and multidisciplinary working. The sessions may be organised - by the Hospice alone, - held in partnership with other establishments, - or tailor-made to meet the particular needs of groups and organisations. The department has a variety of excellent facilities and resources to support the education programmes.
Training Courses
Each year we run a number of courses for health care professionals and others involved in caring for people with life limiting illnesses. We help to explore the main issues and share experience and research findings more widely. Information on our current courses can be found here.
