Strathcarron Community Care

If staying at home with family and friends is what you would prefer, the Strathcarron community team will help you try and achieve it. Most patients prefer to remain at home if they have a choice. With this in mind Strathcarron has a team of 11 Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) who are based at the Hospice and work with you and your carers and other healthcare professionals. They visit patients in their own homes, in care homes and other community settings and also provide a telephone support service.

The CNS team are often confused with Macmillan nurses which is incorrect all your specialist palliative care nursing comes from Strathcarron Hospice.  Your Clinical Nurse Specialist will often suggest the involvement of other services provided by Strathcarron Hospice that may be of benefit to you.
