Strathcarron - Vision and Values

Strathcarron Hospice’s vision is to provide specialist palliative care services for the people of Forth Valley and to promote the delivery of palliative care across this area.

Our aim is to sustain, develop and deliver a full range of quality services - in-patient, day hospice, community, bereavement, pastoral care, lymphoedema, reasearch and education. In order to achieve this, we need to carry out activities in four clearly defined but inter- linked areas. The focus of all our activity will be the patient, families and carers.

Finances

In order to provide services, we need good financial management. This means ensuring that we have adequate funds and control their use in an efficient manner. We will also be accountable to the public and other stakeholders in a way that is transparent and understandable.

Services

We will ensure that the services delivered continue to be fully appropriate for the needs of patients, their families and carers. These services will be delivered to the highest professional and ethical standards in collaboration with other healthcare providers.

Our People

We are proud of the quality, expertise and professionalism of all staff and volunteers. They will be well motivated with a clear sense of purpose and identity. They will be proud to work for Strathcarron Hospice and the charity will be proud of them.

Our Future

Very few organisations can stand still and not change to meet differing demands and new environments. Strathcarron plans to face future challenges and opportunities, some of which are currently unknown, with enthusiasm and creativity. We are always learning to grow, improve and adapt.
